When Cheng Shi crossed over into Chen Xiaos body, he unexpectedly discovered that a major earthquake was set to strike the village at 8 PM that evening. Determined to change the villagers fate, he courageously rode his bicycle to warn them to evacuate immediately. However, the villagers were skeptical, some even laughed when he honestly revealed he had come from ten years in the future.

Frustrated but undeterred, Cheng Shi urgently instructed his classmates to help evacuate the villagers and then rushed to another direction to alert more people. Despite pouring rain, Cheng Shi used a megaphone to shout warnings outside, pleading with the villagers to leave, but no one believed him. Unable to alter the harsh reality, he decided to return home and stay with his mother.

Seeing his determination to protect his mother, Lu Guang agreed to let him stay in that time. Cheng Shi finally convinced his mother to start packing and hide under the table in preparation. Meanwhile, Liu Meng sat in the yard, watching the relentless rain and beginning to believe Chen Xiaos warning about the earthquake.

Suddenly, Cheng Shi remembered his mother had forgotten her camera and rushed to fetch it for her just as the earthquake struck. He managed to return in time to huddle under the table with his mother.

Returning to the present, Cheng Shi was devastated to find that Chen Xiaos mother had still died, sacrificing herself to shield Chen Xiao. Overwhelmed with grief, Cheng Shi struggled to accept the deaths he witnessed helplessly, feeling utterly powerless.

第二天，盛春昭的公司被记者包围，视频还未曝光，盛春昭却安然无恙地观察员工的反应。他发现一名员工在工作时间购买玩具，前去训斥员工。盛春昭随后向所有员工发送了忏悔信，承认长达两年的监控行为，并表达愿意接受惩罚。员工震惊之余，秘书出面安抚，试图以员工生计为由平息愤怒。虽然员工不满，却无法对抗。

程小时在公司楼下等待时，担心员工被唬住，但陆光告诉他有后续计划。几名快递员相继送快递给飓风公司，要求在场宣读内容，否则将给差评。快递员揭露了在净水机中投放兴奋剂的消息，激起了员工的怒火，他们要求检测水源。盛春昭辩称这是为了提高工作效率，但员工已不再相信他，最终报警将其拘捕。

在盛春昭被带走的喜讯传开后，张雪婷得知后开心地笑了。程小时决定给这个行动起个名字——“时光代理人”，并告知陆光。不过，陆光却计划离开一段时间，且在离开前通过了程小时的考核。他返回家乡，对过去和未来都持平常心。

一个月前，陆光在酒吧遇见一名外国人，得到了一张极光照片，他决定探查1月18日那晚老师的真相。回到圭都后，陆光告知程小时已通过考核，两人正式成为搭档。他们谈及过去，程小时提到自己是由乔苓的父母抚养长大。陆光告诉他穿越的要点和规则，尤其是不能改变时间节点和接受报酬的原则。

在另一处，乔苓因新闻事业大放异彩，不断想起程小时。程小时意外被陆光探访，故意隐瞒了他们的合作关系，假称自己是小工。乔苓热情款待陆光，并邀请他一同品尝火锅。他们的相处让乔苓的母亲对陆光印象深刻。

在某次修理相机时，顾客询问程小时是否能修好，陆光信誓旦旦表示有八成把握。顾客最终同意让他修理，并要求照片不得外泄。陆光不仅修好了相机，还恢复了照片。顾客看完后异常反应，陆光递给他一杯水，询问照片中是否有许多故事。
